6 Creative Nursery Trends
Nursery design can be one of the more pleasurable parts of prepping for a baby, or ‘renovating’ a current nursery for your current newborn or next one on the way. As with fashion that evolves and revolves with time, so does nursery styling.
“For instance, would you ever dare to paint your entire nursery a dramatic black or navy? I can’t quite put my finger on why I like it so much, but dark, moody walls feel so cave-like and cozy. Going with a strong paint color is always a gutsy move, but I think it can really pay off.” // babble.com
Here are some of the latest trends going around!
DARK & GOLD
Dark walls in contrast with the golden crib, divides beautifully the feeling of whimsy and luxury.
BOLD GRAPHIC LINENS
What little lady wouldn’t love to have a cute little fawn imprinted on her bed linens? But of course it could be anything printed on the linens, pillows or walls!
NATURE
Rustic and beautiful, turning any space from simple to stunning. You needn’t even go too far to achieve this look, all you need is a backyard and a little creativity (just be sure to secure anything placed over a crib securely, and slightly off to one side).
PATTERNING
Patterns can be self complementing if done right. Just take this above example as evidence!
STRIPED CEILING
Soft items such as carpet, can juxtapose nicely with hardlines such as this ceiling.
CHALK & CHEESE (WELL, JUST CHALK)
My personal favorite. Simple, clean (well, cleanable) and striking. This chalk wall will serve you well when baby is older!
