Pre-Baby Shopping List for Around the House

Shopping pre-baby can be fun when it comes to those adorable little clothes and toys. But, what about around the house? Don’t worry, we’ve got a checklist of items for you. That way, when the baby comes, you will be prepared and can save that shopping time for more bonding time.

First up via Parents.com is the Nursery Furniture

The necessities:

• Crib or co-sleeper
• Crib mattress

It’s nice to have:

• Changing table
• Bassinet (though it’s only safe until 3 months or 15 pounds)
• Rocking chair or glider
• Humidifier or vaporizer
• Dresser/chest
• Hamper
• Baby monitor (if you have a big house)

No-nos:

• A secondhand crib (get a new one for safety)

Toiletries via Sweet Orange Fox (don’t forget one of all of hubs’ stuff too!)

• Toothpaste
• Toothbrushes
• Floss (I have an obsession…this may not be on your must-have list!)
• Razors/Razor Heads
• Shaving Cream
• Deodorant
• Lotion, Face Moisturizer
• Sunscreen (if needed)
• Shampoo/Conditioner
• Body Wash/Shower Gel
• Face Wash
• Breathe Right Strips (if your significant other has a snoring problem…. xoxo, Matt!)
• Earplugs (see above)
• One Extra of All Makeup Products (concealer, foundation, powder, mascara, eyeliner, sponges etc)
• Q-tips/Cotton Balls/Cotton Rounds

• 3 nursing bras
• Breast pads
• Nipple cream
• Muslin squares/wraps, for discrete public feeding and burping

Bottlefeeding:

• 6 feeding bottles

• Infant formula, if you’re not expressing
