7 Things to Do before Your Baby Turns One Year Old

Just yesterday you were holding a tiny newborn.

Sooner than you think, Baby will be one year old! The time goes by so fast, doesn’t it!?

Your little one is growing and growing and will be one year old before you know it. Being a new parent can be overwhelming and exhausting. It is easy to get wrapped up in the everyday tasks. But, remember that this is a precious time. Here are some things to do and cherish before your little one turns one.

1. Indulge In Snuggle Time

Once your baby learns to walk he or she will be on the go and not want as much snuggle time. Cherish the snuggles you get now and indulge in them as much as you can.

3. Start A Memory Box or Album

Now that you have all those photos, gather them together in a memory box or photo album. You may also want to keep your photos and videos in a digital file or online with a site like DropBox.

4. Travel and Explore

You don’t have to take major trips with the baby if you are not up for it, but it’s a great time to visit parks and museums just to explore. Right now, your baby is easier to pack up and keep with you.

5. Join a Group

Joining a parenting group or play group can help get you and your baby started socializing with other babies and parents. This can build lasting friendships and help you when you need advice or a babysitter.

6. Find A Great Sitter

And, speaking of babysitters, now is the time to find a great one or two that you can rely on. As baby gets older, you will likely be more willing to venture out on your own errands and dates.

7. Read And Interact

Your baby is getting his or her first introduction to language and communication skills. Read to and talk to your baby as much as you can.
