Hi everybody, this is Jana with BABYCAREMAG.COM and BABYPREPPING.COM and today, I’m here to open December’s Eco Centric Mom box with you guys. Eco Centric Mom is a monthly subscription box that offers different types of boxes from pregnancy through preschool. And it starts at $26 a month, you can also gift this box as a one-time gift to new Mom’s or Mom’s anywhere between pregnancy and the preschool age of children.
It offers best organic and eco friendly products and I have to say, so far I have been really impressed with the product. It’s a huge variety of different things that you get each month and I have to say as far as trying the products, I’ve been really happy with the product. So let’s dig right into this month’s box.
Okay, so this month’s theme is November, a Holiday Feast collection, even though I received this box in December. So I think that Eco Centric Mom has a, like a winter time box and then they switch out the products each month. Maybe that’s what happened, otherwise they probably sent me the wrong box, but that’s alright.
On the back it says three family-friendly free ways to give back this Thanksgiving. So this is definitely the November box. It says take out the art supplies and make and send holiday cards to soldiers. That is really important in our community. Donate gently used items to local shelters. I do that throughout the year, I have to admit, and adopt a grand-friend at a nearby seniors center. Visit often with kids or babies to share the cuteness. That’s a great idea, old people love children. And my child also loves all people and elderly people so that’s a great idea.
Alright, so here we have Nocciolata, organic hazelnut spread with cocoa and milk. This looks amazing so does this little test product for a hazelnut spread. Who doesn’t love hazelnut spread? And it’s organic and looks like it’s from Italy. And I’m very excited to see what this is gonna taste like. It has no palm oil, it’s organic, actually it’s from nocciolatausa.com and it looks really good.
Next, we have Smell the Roses cloth wipes, right, from Green and Lovely for baby. This also looks very good. Let’s see if I can smell this. So it doesn’t smell as good as I thought it would. It says a gentle plant-based bottom spray to aid in cleaning up those messy diaper changes. That’s a great idea, I really like this, but let’s try this again. Yeah, it’s, I can’t really explain the smell but it doesn’t smell like roses that’s for sure. It’s probably good for baby’s skin but I’m a little disappointed in the smell. I feel like they could of, maybe added some essential oils to this.
Next, oh we have a little basket. It’s pretty cute, let’s see what this says. It says #globein and on the back it says Dona Leonore, 45 years old was born in a small village of San Luis Amatlan. Her Dad died when she was a little girl which led her to learn how to weave palm leaves so she could earn money to help support her mother and siblings. She now uses the money she makes through GlobeIn to keep her teenage sons in school. This is really neat, I love this. This is a great gift, Christmas is coming up and it’s a great idea because it helps people who make this by hand and I love this it’s really cute.
Next we have blum Naturals. Organic tea tree oil, or contains organic tea tree oil, daily cleansing and makeup remover towelettes. That’s something for Mom right there. I love this, I use makeup cleansing towelettes all the time and this is good for your skin because it has tea tree oil. So, let’s see, how do I open this? Oh, there’s 30 towelettes in here. It smells very much like tea tree oil which is good for acne prone skin. So that’s definitely a great product for me.
Next, we have reusable Veggie Bags, a five pack. From Natural Home Brands, that is interesting. I have not seen this before. There’s four 11 by 14 bags in here and one 7 by 7 inches. I wonder what this is for, it doesn’t say on here, but you can go to their website and hopefully they’ll have more information about this product. I don’t know what this is but it says its Veggie Bags so I will use it for that and I will definitely look it up online. So that’s interesting.
Then we have a, oh, so here is a little flyer for the Veggie Bags and it’s actually a coupon, 50% off order, free shipping over $25 and it says the natural home veggie bags with drawstrings are designed to make shopping and storing produce more convenient and sustainable. Have a pesky collection of produce bags from multiple past shopping trips? These veggie bags are a great way to cut down plastic bags while shopping for all your fruits and veggies. That’s actually, now it makes sense and that’s a great idea.
Let’s open this product. Okay, so I see that it already comes in the little veggie bag, that’s cute. It has a drawstring, it’s kind of like a fish net cloth, fabric, oh okay and here we have the big ones. So that makes sense, the only thing here I see as a problem is that you remember to take these bags with you when you go grocery shopping. But other than that, that’s a great idea. I actually hate to have plenty of plastic bags at home, so this I think that this will definitely help with storing produce. So that’s a great idea.
Next, and the last product for today is Mighty Morning bars by Plum Organics which is a popular brand. We have two flavors here, one’s blueberry lemon and apple cinnamon and it says it starts at 15 months and up. My daughter will love these. I don’t think we’ve tried these before and I guess that they’re especially for the mornings. Soft baked multi-grain bars with eight grams of whole grains and 80 milligrams of Omega 3’s ALA from chia and flax seed. So, that looks really delicious. And that’s it.
Here’s a flyer from Plum Organics with a coupon. One dollar off any two Plum Organics products. So that’s always handy when you go grocery shopping as well.
Okay so let’s do the recap. So this month I had six products in my Eco Centric Mom box. Let’s start with this cute basket that will make a perfect gift for one of my beloved ones for Christmas. It’s a cute design, perfect for girls. Great Christmas gift.
Next we had the blum Naturals tea tree oil cleansing wipes. There’s 30 in here, it says thick towelettes so that’s perfect for busy evenings.
Then we had the Smell the Roses cloth wipe spray by Lovely and Green for baby. Unfortunately, I have to say I’m disappointed in the smell. It almost smells like it’s old. So I am afraid to try this on a baby. Kind of has the old lotion smell, so I’m not sure if I’m gonna give this a try. It’s really cute package but I don’t know. I don’t trust the smell.
Next something very yummy, Nocciolata, a hazelnut spread. I’m really excited to try this because I love hazelnut spreads.
Then we had the Veggie Bags by Natural Home with the coupon, 50% off. We had one small one, which is kind of perfect for either garlic or citrusy fruits. One, two, three, four, five, a total of five veggie bags. Four big ones and one, one small.
And then we had the Mighty Morning bars by Plum Organics. That is blueberry lemon and apple cinnamon. I’m pretty sure my daughter will love these but I will try them as well because I’m very honest to see what they taste like, also with a coupon.
So that was my December Eco Centric Mom box even though it was November themed. So I’m a little disappointed about that. I wished I would have gotten some Christmas themed things, maybe something in apple cinnamon like the bar but it’s okay. I’m still happy with the products. I’m excited to try them and I’m also very excited for the January Eco Centric Mom box.
So please leave us any comments and questions you have any. Otherwise, I’ll see you back next month.
